GHO Sydney has appointed Domenic Bartolo, who joins the independent agency in the newly-created role of design director.

Bartolo has over 20 years’ experience in senior design roles in both Sydney and London. For the past two-and-a-half years he has been head of design at LIDA Australia, part of the M&C Saatchi Group.

Bartolo has also worked as design director at agencies including Cummins and Partners and DDB Sydney. His campaigns have been recognised at Cannes, OneShow, Spikes Asia, AWARD and AGDA.

Some of his recent work includes LIDA Australia’s Change The Future for Australia, which was recognised at the AGDA Design Awards 2019. His Remembrance Day campaign, Reflections, for the Royal Australian Navy, was an AWARD finalist in 2018.

On his appointment, Bartolo said:

I’m really excited to be working with Ryan, Hamish and the wider team at GHO. I was really attracted to GHO because it has a great group of talented and nice people and a diverse range of clients. It’s an exciting time to be joining the agency, and I hope to help build on the phenomenal momentum they have created.
